§ 200.207 Standard application requirements.
(a) Paperwork clearances. The Federal awarding agency may only use application information collections approved by OMB under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 and OMB's implementing regulations in 5 CFR part 1320 and in alignment with OMB-approved, governmentwide government-wide data elements available from the OMB-designated standards lead. Consistent with these requirements, OMB Examples of application information collections approved by OMB include the Standard Forms 424 (SF-424), which is available on Grants.gov, and the Biographical Sketch Common Form (OMB Control Number 3145-0279), which Federal agencies should use to collect biographical sketches and other disclosure information from award applicants. OMB will authorize additional information collections only on a limited basis and consistent with these requirements.
(b) Information collection. If applicable, the The Federal awarding agency may inform applicants and recipients that they do not need to provide certain information otherwise required by the relevant information collectionalready being collected through other means.
