You must control dischargesHydrologic balance: Discharge structures.
Discharge from sedimentation ponds, permanent and temporary impoundments, coal mine waste impounding structuresprocessing waste dams and embankments, and diversions shall be controlled, by energy dissipators, riprap channels, and other devices when , where necessary, to reduce erosion, to prevent deepening or enlargement of stream channels, and to control meander migration, or to minimize disturbance of the hydrologic balance. You must design discharge structures Discharge structures shall be designed according to standard engineering design procedures.
