§ 252.11 Authority and purpose.
(a) Authority. 12 U.S.C. 321-338a, 1467a(g), 1818, 1831o, 1831p-1, 1844(b), 1844(c), 3906-3909, 5365.
(b) Purpose. This subpart implements section 165(i)(2) of the Dodd-Frank Act (12 U.S.C. 5365(i)(2)), which requires a bank holding company with total consolidated assets of greater than $10 billion but less than $50 billion and savings and loan holding companies and state member banks with total consolidated assets of greater than $10 $250 billion to conduct annual stress tests. This subpart also establishes definitions of stress test tests and related terms, methodologies for conducting stress tests, and reporting and disclosure requirements.
