  • No regular or special employee may make inquiry concerning the race, political affiliation, or religious beliefs of any employee or applicant in connection with any personnel action and may not practice, threaten, or promise any action against or in favor of an employee or applicant for employment because or race, color, religion, sex, or national origin and in the competitive service on the basis of politics, marital status, or physical handicap.
