    The following are designated native mammals:

    Pinnipeds:

    Crabeater seal - seal—Lobodon carcinophagus.

    Leopard seal - seal—Hydrurga leptonyx.

    Ross seal - seal—Ommatophoca rossi.[1]

    Southern elephant seal - seal—Mirounga leonina.

    Southern fur seals - seals—Arctocephalus spp.1

    Weddell seal - Leptonychotes seal—Leptonychotes weddelli.

    Large Cetaceans (Whales):

    Blue whale - whale—Balaenoptera musculus.

    Fin whale - whale—Balaenoptera physalus.

    Humpback whale - whale—Megaptera novaeangliae.

    Minke whale - whale—Balaenoptera acutrostrata.

    Pygmy blue whale - whale—Balaenoptera musculus brevicauda

    Sei whale - whale—Balaenoptera borealis

    Southern right whale - whale—Balaena glacialis australis

    Sperm whale - whale—Physeter macrocephalus

    Small Cetaceans (Dolphins and porpoises):

    Arnoux's beaked whale - whale—Berardius arnuxii.

    Commerson's dolphin - dolphin—Cephalorhynchus commersonii
