§ 160.013-4 - Inspections and tests.

(a)
General. Hatchets specified by this subpart are not inspected at regularly scheduled factory inspections; however, the Commander of the Coast Guard District in which hatchets are manufactured may detail an inspector at any time to visit places where hatchets are manufactured to check materials and construction methods and to conduct such tests and examinations as may be required to satisfy himself that hatchets are being manufactured in compliance with the requirements ofthis specification and are suitable for the intended purpose. The manufacturer shall admit the inspector to his plant and shall provide a suitable place and the necessary apparatus for the use of the inspector in conducting tests at the place of manufacture.
