§ 15.51 - Discrimination prohibited.

  • (a) No agency, officer, or employee of the United States Department of Agriculture, shall exclude from participation in, deny the benefits of, or subject to discrimination any person in the United States on the ground of race, color, religion, sex, age, handicap, or national origin under any program or activity administered by such agency, officer, or employee.

    (b) No agency, officer, or employee of the Department shall on the ground of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, age, or national origin deny to any person in the United States:

    (1) Equal access to buildings, facilities, structures, or lands under the control of any agency in this Department, equal opportunity for employment, for participation in meetings, demonstrations, training activities or programs, fairs, awards, field days, encampments, for receipt of information disseminated by publication, news, radio, and other media, for obtaining contracts, grants, loans, or other financial assistance or for selection to assist in the administration of programs or activities of this Department.
