§ 3570.54 - Equal opportunity and fair housing.

The Agency will administer the program in accordance with equal opportunity and fair housing legislation and applicable Executive Orders. Federal statutes provide for extending RHS financial assistance without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, and marital or familial status. The participant must possess the capacity to enter into legal contracts under State and local statutes. All activities under this subpart shall be accomplished in accordance with title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Act of 1968 (Fair Housing Act), the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and all other Federal laws and Executive Orders prohibiting discrimination in Federal programs.
