    ACTION: Notice of exemption.

    SUMMARY: The Commission exempts from the prior approval requirements of 
    49 U.S.C. 11343-11345, the acquisition by Soo Line Railroad Company of 
    temporary overhead trackage rights over approximately 4 miles of 
    Chicago, Central and Pacific Railroad Company rail line in Rockford, 
    IL, subject to conditions.
    
    DATES: The exemption became effective on January 6, 1994. Petitions to 
    reopen must be filed by January 31, 1994.
