DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Research, Engineering and Development Advisory Committee; Human 
Factors Subcommittee

    Pursuant to section 10(A) (2) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act 
(Public Law 92-362; 5 U.S.C. App. I), notice is hereby given of a 
meeting of the Human Factors Subcommittee of the Federal Aviation 
Administration (FAA) Research, Engineering and Development (R, E&D) 
Advisory Committee to be held Friday, January 27, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 
The meeting will take place at the Federal Aviation Administration, 800 
Independence Avenue, S.W., Washington, D.C., in Conference Rooms 9ABC.
    The agenda for this meeting will include: a review of preliminary 
subcommittee organizational issues; discussion between the subcommittee 
members and the manager of the FAA Human Factors program; work on 
recommendations; and plan for future activities and preparation of 
final report.
    Attendance is open to the interested public, but limited to space 
available. With the approval of the subcommittee chairman, members of 
the public may present oral statements at the meeting. Persons wishing 
to present oral statements, obtain information, or access the building 
to attend the meeting should contact Dr. Mark Hofmann, AXD-4, at (202) 
267-7125, who will serve as the FAA Designated Federal Official to the 
Subcommittee.
    Members of the public may present a written statement to the 
subcommittee at any time.
