State of Oklahoma; NGPA Notice of Determination by Jurisdictional
Agency Designating Tight Formation
January 6, 1994.
Take notice that on December 29, 1993, the Corporation Commission
of the State of Oklahoma (Oklahoma) submitted the above-referenced
notice of determination pursuant to Sec. 271.703(c)(3) of the
Commission's regulations, that the Red Oak common source of supply
underlying portions of Pittsburgh and Latimer Counties, Oklahoma,
qualifies as a tight formation under section 107(c)(5) of the Natural
Gas Policy Act of 1978. The recommended area is described as:
Pittsburgh County
Sections 35 and 36, T7N, R18E
Latimer County
Sections 31 through 33, T7N, R19E
Sections 1, 2, 10, 11, and 12, T6N, R18E
Sections 4 through 9, T6N, R19E
The notice of determination also contains Oklahoma's findings that
the referenced formation meets the requirements of the Commission's
regulations set forth in 18 CFR part 271.
The application for determination is available for inspection,
except for material which is confidential under 18 CFR 275.206, at the
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 825 North Capitol Street, NE.,
Washington DC 20426. Persons objecting to the determination may file a
protest, in accordance with 18 CFR 275.203 and 275.204, within 20 days
after the date this notice is issued by the Commission.
