National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for
Foods; Meeting
Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the National Advisory
Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods will be held January 31
through February 4, 1994: Monday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday, 8:30
a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday; 8:30 a.m. to
noon; and Friday 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the Residence Inn Orlando, 7975
Canada Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32819, telephone (407) 345-0117.
The Committee provides advice and recommendations to the
Secretaries of Agriculture and Health and Human Services concerning the
development of microbiological criteria by which the safety and
wholesomeness of food can be assessed, including criteria pertaining to
microorganisms that indicate whether food has been processed using good
manufacturing processes. The meeting will include discussion of the
following topics as time permits.

The Committee meeting is open to the public on a space available
basis. Interested persons may file comments prior to and following the
