Realty Action--Exchange
AGENCY: Bureau of Land Management, Montana, Miles City District,
Billings Resource Area, Interior.
ACTION: Notice of Realty Action M-80893, exchange of public and private
lands in Yellowstone County.

SUMMARY: The following described lands have been determined to be
suitable for disposal by exchange under section 206 of the Federal Land
Policy and Management Act of 1976, U.S.C. 1716:
Principal Meridian, Montana
T.3 N., R.27 E.,
Sec. 14, NE\1/4\, SW\1/4\.
Containing 320 acres of public lands.
In exchange for these lands, the United States will acquire the
following described lands from Herman Thaut:
Principal Meridian, Montana
T.3 N., R.27 E.,
Sec. 1, Lots 1 to 4, inclusive, S\1/2\N\1/2\, S\1/2\.
Containing 639.6 acres of private lands.
DATES: Comments will be accepted until February 28, 1994 in the Federal
Register to the address shown below. Any adverse comments will be
evaluated by the BLM Montana State Director who may sustain, vacate or
modify this realty action. In absence of any objections this realty
action will become the final determination of the Department of the
Interior.

assessment is available for review at this address.
SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The publication of this notice segregates
the public lands described above from settlement, sale, location and
entry under the public land laws, but not from exchange pursuant to
Section 206 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act for a period
of two years from the date of first publication, issuance of a U.S.
Government Patent or notice of termination in the Federal Register,
whichever occurs first. The exchange will be made subject to:
1. A reservation to the United States of a right-of-way for ditches
or canals in accordance with 43 U.S.C. 945.
2. A reservation to the United States of all federally owned
minerals in the lands being transferred.
3. All valid existing rights of record. MTM-53015, road-of-way to
Yellowstone County. MTM-74903, an overhead power distribution line
right-of-way to Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative.
4. Meeting the requirements of 43 CFR 4110.4-2(b). This exchange is
consistent with Bureau of Land Management policies and planning and has
been discussed with state and local officials. The estimated intended
time of the exchange is March 15, 1994. The public interest will be
served by completion of this exchange because it will enable the Bureau
of Land Management to acquire lands with high public values and will
increase management efficiency of the public lands in the area.
