Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board

AGENCY: General Accounting Office.

ACTION: Notice of January meeting.

SUMMARY: Pursuant to section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory Committee 
Act (Pub. L. No. 92-463), as amended, notice is hereby given that the 
monthly meeting of the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board will 
be held on Thursday, January 20, 1994 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in room 
7313 of the General Accounting Office, 441 G St., NW., Washington, DC.
    The agenda for the meeting includes discussions on (1) an 
accounting liability concept, (2) cost accounting issues, (3) accrual 
accounting and criteria for when current value accounting might be 
appropriate, (4) appropriate ways to address OPEB in the liabilities 
ED, and (5) entity and display issues.
    We advise that other items may be added to the agenda; interested 
parties should contact the Staff Director for more specific information 
and to confirm the date of the meeting.
    Any interested person may attend the meeting as an observer. Board 
discussions and reviews are open to the public.
