PHYSICIAN PAYMENT REVIEW COMMISSION
Sunshine Act Meeting
AGENCY: Physician Payment Review Commission.
ACTION: Notice of meeting.

SUMMARY: The Commission will hold its next public meeting on Thursday,
January 23, 1997, and Friday, January 24, 1997, at the Washington
Marriott, 1221 22nd Street NW., Washington, DC, in the DuPont Salon.
The meetings are tentatively scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. each day.
In preparation for its March 31 report, the Commission expects to
discuss such issues as vulnerable populations, academic health centers,
quality of care, and federal premium contributions. It will also review
draft chapters on PSOs, access in Medicare managed care, Medicare PPOs,
risk adjustment, secondary insurance for Medicare beneficiaries,
consumer protections in managed care, and Medicare Fee Schedule issues.
Final agendas will be mailed on January 17, 1997 and will be available
on the Commission's web site (WWW.PPRC.GOV) at that time.
