    AGENCY: Federal Communications Commission.
    
    ACTION: Final rule.

    SUMMARY: The Commission, at the request of Community Broadcasting 
    Company, allots Channel 269A to New Augusta, Mississippi, as the 
    community's first local aural transmission service. See 62 FR 45784, 
    August 29, 1997. Channel 269A can be allotted to New Augusta, 
    Mississippi, in compliance with the Commission's minimum distance 
    separation requirements with a site restriction of 7.8 kilometers (4.9 
    miles) northwest in order to avoid a short-spacing conflict with the 
    site specified in Station WTKX-FM's construction permit for Channel 
    268C, Pensacola, Florida. The coordinates for Channel 269A at New 
    Augusta are 31-13-41 NL and 89-06-47 WL. With this action, this 
    proceeding is terminated.
    
    EFFECTIVE DATE: February 23, 1998. A filing window for Channel 269A at 
    New Augusta, Mississippi will not be opened at this time. Instead, the 
    issue of opening a filing window for this channel will be addressed by 
    the Commission in a subsequent order.
