    action: Final rule; technical amendment.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

summary: The Office of Personnel Management is amending its regulations
on the posting of personnel regulations in agencies to delete
references to the Federal Personnel Manual (FPM). With the recent
abolishment of the FPM, these references are no longer valid. We will
continue to issue posting notices as required by statute; however, the
notices will no longer be identified with the Federal Personnel Manual
    system.

    effective date: January 20, 1994.

(d)(3), good cause exists for publishing this amendment without general
notice of proposed rulemaking and a 30-day delay in effectiveness. This
amendment is non-substantive in nature and will not affect current
    compliance.

I certify that this regulation will not have a significant economic
impact on a substantial number of small entities as it applies only to
operations of the Federal Government and is non-substantive in impact.
