Privacy Act of 1974; Amend System of Records
AGENCY: Department of the Air Force, DOD.
ACTION: Amend system of records.

SUMMARY: The Department of the Air Force proposes to amend one system
of records notice in its inventory of systems of records notices
subject to the Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. 552a), as amended.
DATES: The amendment will be effective on February 21, 1995, unless
comments are received that would result in a contrary determination.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The complete inventory of Department of the
Air Force system of records notices subject to the Privacy Act of 1974
(5 U.S.C. 552a), as amended, have been published in the Federal
Register and are available from the address above.
The amendment is not within the purview of subsection (r) of the
Privacy Act (5 U.S.C. 552a), as amended, which requires the submission
of an altered system report. The specific changes to the system of
records notice is set forth below followed by the system notice, as
amended, published in its entirety.

United States citizen employees of the Air Force who are paid from
appropriated funds and who are either nonbargaining unit employees or
bargaining unit employees in a unit where no collective bargaining
agreement has been negotiated. The system includes supervisors,
civilian personnel officers, and other management officials of the Air
Force.
Documents pertaining to the appeal or grievance filed by an
employee or employee's representative which may contain personal
information such as Social Security Number, date of birth, home
address, home phone, and nature of appeal or grievance.

Appeal and grievance files are maintained by the Air Force Civilian
Appellate Review Office pending administrative proceedings by
management to resolve the matters in dispute including adjudication

In addition to those disclosures generally permitted under 5 U.S.C.
552a(b) of the Privacy Act, these records, or information contained
therein, may specifically be disclosed outside the DoD as a routine use
pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 552a(b)(3) as follows:
