COMMISSION ON IMMIGRATION REFORM
Miami Hearing
AGENCY: U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform.
ACTION: Announcement of hearing.

This notice announces a public hearing of the Commission on
Immigration Reform. The Commission was established by the Immigration
Act of 1990 under section 141. The mandate of the Commission is to
review and evaluate the impact of U.S. immigration policy and transmit
to the Congress a report of its findings and recommendations. The
Commission's first report to Congress is due on September 30, 1994.
The Commission will hear from federal, state and local officials,
representatives of community-based organizations, researchers and other
experts. The focus of the meeting will be the impact of immigration on
Southern Florida.
