Notice of Application for Decommissioning Amendment, Iowa State 
University, UTR-10 Research Reactor

    Notice is hereby given that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission 
(the Commission) has received an application from Iowa State University 
dated January 6, 1999, for a license amendment approving the 
decommissioning plan for the Iowa State University Reactor (Facility 
License No. R-59) located in the Nuclear Engineering Building, which is 
located on the west edge of the main campus of Iowa State University, 
in Ames, Iowa.
    A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the 
Commission's Public Document Room, the Gelman Building, at 2120 L 
Street, NW., Washington, DC 20037.

    Dated at Rockville, Maryland, this 14th day of January 1999.
