Public Information Collection Requirement Submitted to OMB for 
Review

ACTION: Notice.

    The Department of Defense has submitted to OMB for clearance, the 
following proposal for collection of information under the provisions 
of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C., Chapter 35).

Title: Vocational/Technical (VOTEC) Market Analysis Surveys
Type of Request: New collection
Number of Respondents: 21,000
Responses Per Respondent: 1
Annual Responses: 21,000
Average Burden Per Response: 40.7 minutes
Annual Burden Hours: 14,250
Needs and Uses: The Army is investigating the feasibility of filling 
part of its training requirements from vocational graduate resources. 
If the Army can recruit applicants who are already trained in specific 
career areas, it can save training resources and provide units with 
trained soldiers faster. This study investigates the propensity of 
vocational students to enlist, as well as the incentives required to 
induce them to enlist.

organizations
