    Notice of proposed Cooperative Research and Development Agreement 
    (CRADA) Negotiations
    
    SUMMARY: The United States Geological Survey (USGS) is contemplating 
    entering into a CRADA with the American Petroleum Institute (API) to 
    develop a computer model to quantify impacts on ground water from 
    surface or near-surface spills of gasoline containing methyl tert-butyl 
    ether. Information on the proposed CRADA is available to the public 
    upon request at the following location: U.S. Geological Survey, 810 
    Bear Tavern Rd., Suite 206, West Trenton, New Jersey 08628.
