AGENCY: Federal Communications Commission.
ACTION: Proposed rule.

SUMMARY: This document requests comments on a petition filed by Fife
Lake Broadcasting Company requesting the allotment of Channel 240A to
Fife Lake, Michigan, as that community's first local service. The
coordinates for Channel 240A are 44-34-36 and 85-20-54. Canadian
concurrence will be obtained for this allotment.
DATES: Comments must be filed on or before March 17, 1997, and reply
comments on or before April 1, 1997.

Provisions of the Regulatory Flexibility Act of 1980 do not apply
to this proceeding.
