    ACTION: Notice of receipt of permit applications.

    SUMMARY: The following applicants have applied for a scientific 
    research permit to conduct certain activities with endangered species 
    pursuant to section 10(a)(1)(A) of the Endangered Species Act of 1973, 
    as amended (16 USC 1531 et seq.).
        Permit No.: TE-007200.
        Applicant: Bryan G. Carey, Riverside, California.
        The applicant requests a permit to take (harass by survey) the 
    Quino checkerspot butterfly (Euphydryas editha quino) and the Delhi 
    Sands flower-loving fly (Rhaphiomidas terminatus abdominalis) in 
    conjunction with presence or absence surveys throughout each species' 
    range for the purpose of enhancing their survival.
    
        Permit No.: TE-834489.
        Applicant: Stacie Tennant, Costa Mesa, California.
        The applicant requests a permit amendment to take (harass by 
    survey) the Quino checkerspot butterfly (Euphydryas editha quino) in 
    conjunction with presence or absence surveys throughout Riverside, 
    Orange, and San Diego Counties, California for the purpose of enhancing 
    its survival.
    
        Permit No.: TE-007216.
        Applicant: Kenneth J. Halama, Irvine, California.
        The applicant requests a permit to take (harass by survey) the 
    Quino checkerspot butterfly (Euphydryas editha quino) in conjunction 
    with presence or absence surveys throughout Riverside, Orange, and San 
    Diego Counties, California for the purpose of enhancing its survival.
    
        Permit No.: TE-787645.
        Applicant: Thomas Olsen Associates, Incorporated, Hemet, 
    California.
        The applicant requests a permit amendment to take (harass by 
    survey) the Quino checkerspot butterfly (Euphydryas editha quino) in 
    conjunction with presence or absence surveys throughout Riverside and 
    San Diego Counties, California for the purpose of enhancing its 
    survival.
    
        Permit No.: TE-007277.
        Applicant: Carol A. Hertzog, Vista, California.
        The applicant requests a permit to take (harass by survey) the 
    Quino checkerspot butterfly (Euphydryas editha quino) in conjunction 
    with presence or absence surveys throughout the range of the species 
    range for the purpose of enhancing its survival.
    
        Permit No.: TE-004939.
        Applicant: Gordon Pratt, Riverside, California.
        The applicant requests a permit to take (harass by survey, collect 
    for captive propagation, handle, and release) the Quino checkerspot 
    butterfly (Euphydryas editha quino) and take (harass by survey) the 
    Laguna Mountains skipper (Pyrgus ruralis lagunae) in conjunction with 
    presence and absence surveys and scientific research throughout each 
    species' range for the purpose of enhancing their survival.
