SUMMARY:

The National Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council will meet in Washington, DC, January at the USDA Whitten Building. The purpose of the Council's meeting is to discuss finalizing their 2010 annual accomplishment report, recommendations for the Secretary of Agriculture, develop the 2011 plan of work, hear from some of the Urban and Community Forestry grant recipients on completed grant findings, and hear public input related to urban and community forestry.

DATES:

The meeting will be held on January 26 and 27, 2011, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or until Council business is completed.

Public input sessions will be provided at the meeting. Public comments will be compiled and provided to the Secretary of Agriculture along with the Council's recommendations.
