Johnson and Johnson Medical Inc. Including Leased Workers of
Kelly Temporary Services El Paso, Texas; Amended Certification
Regarding Eligibility to Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance
In accordance with Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C.
2273) the Department of labor issued a Certification of Eligibility to
Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance on October 10, 1996, applicable
to all workers of Johnson & Johnson Medical Inc. located in El Paso,
Texas. The notice was published in the Federal Register on October 29,
1996 (61 FR 55821).
At the request of petitioners, the Department reviewed the
certification of workers of the subject firm. New findings show that
some employees of Kelly Temporary Services, El Paso, Texas, were
directly involved in the manufacturing of surgical gowns, drapes and
sheets produced by Johnson & Johnson Medical Inc. in El Paso. Based on
these findings, the Department is amending the certification to include
leased workers from Kelly Temporary Services, El Paso, Texas.
The intent of the Department's certification is to include all
workers of Johnson & Johnson Medical Inc. adversely affected by
imports.

The amended notice applicable to TA-W-32,712 is hereby issued as
follows:
All workers of Johnson & Johnson Medical Inc., El Paso, Texas;
and leased workers of Kelly Temporary Services, El Paso, Texas,
engaged in the production of surgical gowns, drapes and sheets for
Johnson & Johnson Medical Inc. In El Paso, Texas, who became totally
or partially separated from employment on or after August 29, 1995,
are eligible to apply for adjustment assistance under Section 223 of
the Trade Act of 1974.
