AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), NOAA, Commerce.
ACTION: Issuance of modifications to permit Nos. 657 (P77#31), 707
(P77#40) and 711 (P77#43).

SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that on December 28, 1993, Permit Nos.
657, 707, and 711, issued to the Southwest Fisheries Science Center,
NMFS, P.O. Box 271, La Jolla, California, were modified.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The subject modifications have been issued
under the authority of the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972, as
amended (16 U.S.C. 1351 et seq.), the provisions of Secs. 216.33 (d)
and (e) of the Regulations Governing the Taking and Importing of Marine
Mammals (50 CFR part 216), the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as
amended (16 U.S.C. 1531 et seq.), and the provisions of Sec. 222.25 of
the regulations governing the taking, importing, and exporting of
endangered fish and wildlife (50 CFR part 222).
Permit Nos. 657, 707, and 711 were modified to extend the effective
dates through December 31, 1994.
