Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation; Yankee Atomic Electric 
Company; Yankee Nuclear Power Station; Notice of Public Informational 
Meeting on the Facility License Termination Plan

    An informational meeting on the Yankee Atomic Electric Company 
(YAEC) License Termination Plan (LTP) for the Yankee Nuclear Power 
Station will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 1998, starting at 7:00 
p.m., in the Mohawk Valley Regional High School Auditorium. The school 
is located in Buckland, Massachusetts.
    At the meeting, YAEC representatives will describe the LTP and site 
release criteria for the Yankee Nuclear Power Station. Then NRC staff 
will discuss the license termination process as prescribed by NRC 
regulations. Following this, the public will have an opportunity to 
question both the YAEC and the NRC staffs and to make comments. A court 
reporter will transcribe the meeting.
