Indiana Michigan Power Company; Notice of Withdrawal of 
Application for Amendment To Facility Operating License

    The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted 
a request by Indiana Michigan Power Company (the licensee) to withdraw 
its August 11, 1997 application for an amendment to Facility Operating 
License No. DPR-58 and Facility Operating License DPR-74 for the Donald 
C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, located in Berrien

County, Michigan. Notice of Consideration of Issuance of this amendment 
was published in the Federal Register on December 31, 1997 (62 FR 
68308).
    The purpose of the licensee's amendment request was to revise the 
Technical Specifications (TS) to allow filling of the emergency core 
cooling system (ESSC) accumulators without declaring the ECCS equipment 
inoperable.
    Subsequently, the licensee informed the staff that the amendment is 
no longer required. Thus, the amendment application is considered to be 
withdrawn by the licensee.
    For further details with respect to this action, see the 
application for amendment dated August 11, 1997. This document is 
available for public inspection at the Commission's Public Document 
Room, the Gelman Building, 2120 L Street, NW., Washington, DC and at
