    AGENCY: Bureau of Indian Affairs, Interior.
    
    ACTION: Notice.

    SUMMARY: This notice announces that the Information Collection Request 
    for the Class III Gaming Procedures, OMB No. 1076-0149, has been 
    submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for approval 
    under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter 
    25).
    
    DATES: Submit your comments and suggestions on or before February 7, 
    2000.

    SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
    
    I. Abstract
    
        The information collection is necessary to assess the need for 
    Class III Gaming Procedures. A request for comments on this information 
    collection was published in the Federal Register on August 4, 1999 (64 
    FR 42409-42410). No comments were received.
    
    II. Request for Comments
    
        Comments are invited on (a) whether the information collection is 
    necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, 
    including whether the information will have practical utility; (b) the 
    accuracy of the agency's estimate of the burden (hours and cost) of the 
    collection of information, including the validity of the methodology 
    and assumptions used; (c) ways to enhance the quality, utility and 
    clarity of the information to be collected; and (d) ways to minimize 
    the burden of the collection of the information on the respondents, 
    including through the use of automated collection techniques or other 
    forms of information technology. Please note that comments, names and 
    addresses are available for public review during regular business 
    hours. If you wish us to withhold your name or address, you must state 
    this prominently at the beginning of your comment sent to us. We will 
    honor your request to the extent allowable by law.
        The Office of Management and Budget has up to 60 days to approve or 
    disapprove the information collection but may respond after 30 days; 
    therefore, comments submitted in response to this notice should be 
    submitted to OMB within 30 days in order to assure their maximum 
    consideration.
    
    III. Data
    
        Title of the Information Collection: Class III Gaming Procedures.
        OMB Approval Number: 1076-0149.
        Summary of Collection of Information: The collection of information 
    will ensure that the provisions of IGRA, the relevant provisions of 
    State laws, Federal law and the trust obligations of the United States 
    are met.
        Affected Entities: Federally recognized tribes who submit Class III 
    procedures for review and approval by the Secretary of the Interior.
        Frequency of Response: Once, unless revised.
        Estimated Number of Annual Responses: 12.
        Estimated Time per Application: 320 hours.
        Estimated Total Annual Burden Hours: 3,840 hours.
