The United States Government, as represented by the Secretary of the Army, has rights to this invention.

The invention relates to a method of treating, inhibiting, reducing, or preventing intoxication caused by a ribosome-inactivating (RIP) in a subject which comprises administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of at least one compound or composition according to the present invention.
