Notice of meeting.

SUMMARY:

The Black Hills National Forest Advisory Board (Board) will meet in Rapid City, South Dakota. The Board is established consistent with the Federal Advisory Committee Act of 1972 (5 U.S.C. App. II), the Forest and Rangeland Renewable Resources Planning Act of 1974 (16 U.S.C. sec. 1600 et.seq.), the National Forest Management Act of 1976 (16 U.S.C. sec. 1612), and the Federal Public Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (Pub. L. No. 108-447). The meeting will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

The purpose of the meeting is to provide:

(1) Rangeland Management presentation; Joint monitoring—Elk management plan;

(2) Forest Health presentation and discussion; Mountain Pine Beetle priority treatment areas for FY15;

(3) Motorized Trail Permits for FY15—Additional purchase opportunities; and

(4) Update from the Recreational Facility working group.

The meeting is open to the public. The agenda will include time for people to make oral statements of three minutes or less. Individuals wishing to make an oral statement should submit a request in writing by October 6, 2014 to be scheduled on the agenda. Anyone who would like to bring related matters to the attention of the Board may file written statements with the Board's staff before or after the meeting.
