        The Department of Agriculture has submitted the following

        Title: Sweet Onions Grown in the Walla Walla Valley of Southeast 
    Washington and Northeast Oregon, Marketing Order No. 956.
        Summary: The market order sets provisions regulating the handling 
    of Walla Walla sweet onions. Handlers provide information on shipments 
    of onions.
        Need and Use of the Information: The purpose is to provide orderly 
    marketing conditions in interstate commerce and to improve returns to 
    growers. The information provides a mechanism to collect assessments.
        Description of Respondents: Business or other for-profit; Farms.
        Number of Respondents: 82.
        Frequency of Responses: Recordkeeping; Reporting: On occasion; 
    Annually.
        Total Burden Hours: 25.
    
     Agricultural Marketing Service
    
        Title: Oranges and Grapefruits Grown in the Lower Rio Grande Valley 
    in Texas, Marketing No. 906.
        Summary: The market order sets provisions regulating the handling 
    of oranges and grapefruits grown in the lower Rio Grande Valley in 
    Texas. Information is collected on production, handling and disposition 
    of the crop.
        Need and Use of the Information: The information is used to develop 
    a marketing policy each year, to recommend seasonal quality 
    regulations, to determine handler compliance, and to prepare annual 
    reports.
        Description of Respondents: Business or other for-profit; Farms.
        Number of Respondents: 428.
        Frequency of Responses: Recordkeeping; Reporting: On occasion; 
    Weekly; Annually.
        Total Burden Hours: 345.
        Emergency Processing of This Submission Has Been Requested by 
    October 11, 1996.
    
     National Agricultural Statistics Service
    
        Title: Agricultural Resources Management Study and Chemical Use 
    Survey.
        Summary: Information is collected on farm production expenditures 
    for selected crop and livestock commodities as well as chemical use.
        Need and Use of the Information: The information will be used to: 
    assess the economic implications of various programs and policies as 
    they relate to water quality/food safety and the impact on agricultural 
    procedures and consumers; and to provide data to compute Parity Prices 
    which are based on the Index of Prices Paid by Farmers and Index of 
    Prices Received by Farmers.
        Description of Respondents: Farms.
        Number of Respondents: 76,462.
        Frequency of Responses: Reporting: On occasion; Annually.
        Total Burden Hours: 32,764.
