Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation; Notice of Limited Section
4 Compliance Filing
October 5, 1999.
Take notice that on October 1, 1999, Texas Eastern Transmission
Corporation (Texas Eastern) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas
Tariff, Sixth Revised Volume No. 1 and Original Volume No. 2, the
tariff sheets listed in Appendix A to the filing, with a proposed
effective date of November 1, 1999, or such later date as the
authorized facilities are placed in service.
Texas Eastern states that the filing is submitted pursuant to the
Commission's Order Denying Rehearing and Granting Clarification issued
on June 2, 1999 (June 2 Order) in Docket No. CP97-774-002 [87 FERC
para. 61,273 (1999)] and as a limited application pursuant to section 4
of the Natural Gas Act, 15 U.S.C. section 717c (1988), and the Rules
and Regulations of the Commission promulgated thereunder.
Texas Eastern states that the purpose of the filing is to make a
limited section 4 filing to reduce the storage cost credit mechanism
currently included in Rate Schedules SS, SS-1 and X-28. In addition,
Texas Eastern states that the filing includes revised Operational Flow
Order (OFO) language to adjust the triggers to certain of its OFOs.
Texas Eastern states that copies of the filing were mailed to all
affected customers and interested state commissions.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should
file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE, Washington, DC 20426, in
accordance with sections 385.214 or 385.211 of the Commission's rules
and regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed in
accordance with section 154.210 of the Commission's regulations.
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants
parties to the proceedings. Any person wishing to become a party must
file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public
