SUMMARY: The Commission, at the request of Mountain West Broadcasting,
we are allotting Channel 271C2 to Socorro, NM, as the community's
second local commercial FM service. See 64 FR 15713, April 1, 1999.
Channel 271C2 can be allotted to Socorro without the imposition of a
site restriction, at coordinates 34-03-42 NL; 106-53-48 WL. Mexican
concurrence in the allotment has been obtained since Socorro is located
within 320 kilometers (199 miles) of the U.S.-Mexican border. With this
action, this proceeding is terminated.
DATES: Effective November 1, 1999. A filing window for Channel 271C2 at
Socorro, NM, will not be opened at this time. Instead, the issue of
opening a filing window for this channel will be addressed by the
Commission in a subsequent order.
