    AGENCY: Interstate Commerce Commission.
    
    ACTION: Notice of Exemption.

    SUMMARY: The Commission exempts from the prior approval requirements of 
    49 U.S.C. 11343-45 the lease and operation by Iowa Interstate Railroad, 
    Ltd., of Norfolk and Western Railway Company's 13.9-mile rail line 
    between milepost DU-340.8, in Des Moines, IA, and the end of the line 
    at milepost DU-354.7, in Grimes, IA, including the Clive Spur, in Polk 
    County, IA, subject to standard employee protective conditions.
    
    DATES: This exemption is effective on November 12, 1995. Petitions to 
    stay must be filed by October 30, 1995. Petitions to reopen must be 
    filed by November 7, 1995.
