Virginia; Amendment to Notice of a Major Disaster Declaration

AGENCY: Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: This notice amends the notice of a major disaster for the 
Commonwealth of Virginia (FEMA-1135-DR), dated September 6, 1996, and 
related determinations.

EFFECTIVE DATE: October 2, 1996.

FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Pauline C. Campbell, Response and 
Recovery Directorate, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Washington,

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The notice of a major disaster for the 
Commonwealth of Virginia, is hereby amended to include the following 
areas among those areas determined to have been adversely affected by 
the catastrophe declared a major disaster by the President in his 
declaration of September 6, 1996:

    Cumberland County for Individual Assistance and Hazard 
Mitigation (already designated for direct Federal assistance).
    The counties of Westmoreland and Orange for Public Assistance 
(already designated for Individual Assistance, Hazard Mitigation, 
and direct Federal assistance).
    The counties of Bath and Giles for Public Assistance and Hazard 
Mitigation (already designated for direct Federal assistance).
