    SUMMARY:

    This notice contains a summary of a petition seeking relief from specified requirements of Federal Aviation Regulations. The purpose of this notice is to improve the public's awareness of, and participation in, this aspect of the FAA's regulatory activities.     Description of Relief Sought: To fully comply with the regulations for unusable fuel supply and flightcrew altering, a design improvement is needed to prevent an erroneous “Center Fuel Low” advisory message. A software update is required to correct the erroneous display of the message of the center fuel quantities above the level where center fuel pumps should be selected off. A time-limited exemption is sought to correct the issue without delay to the Boeing Model 767-2C certification. The exemption would be limited to a period ending on December 31, 2019.
