DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY
[Docket No. QF88-295-006]
Tenaska III Texas Partners; Application for Commission
Recertification of Qualifying Status of a Cogeneration Facility
October 12, 1994.
On October 6, 1994, Tenaska III Texas Partners (Tenaska) of 1044
North 115 Street, Suite 400, Omaha, Nebraska 68154, submitted for
filing an application for recertification of a facility as a qualifying
cogeneration facility pursuant to Section 292.207(b) of the
Commission's Regulations. No determination has been made that the
submittal constitutes a complete filing.
According to the applicant, the natural gas-fueled cogeneration
facility is located in Paris, Texas. The Commission previously
certified the capacity of the facility to be 250 MW. The facility
consists of two combustion turbine generators, two heat recovery
boilers and an extraction/condensing steam turbine generator. Thermal
energy recovered from the facility is used in food preparation by
Campbell Soup (Texas) Inc. The instant application for recertification
was submitted to report a changed ownership structure.
Any person desiring to be heard or objecting to the granting of
qualifying status should file a motion to intervene or protest with the
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 825 North Capitol Street, NE,
Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the
Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure. All such motions or
protests must be filed within 30 days after the date of publication of
this notice in the Federal Register and must be served on the
applicant. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining
the appropriate action to be taken but will not serve to make
protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to become a
party must file a petition to intervene. Copies of this filing are on
file with the Commission and are available for public inspection.
Lois D. Cashell,
Secretary.
