Endangered and Threatened Species Permit Applications
ACTION: Notice of Receipt of Applications for Permit.

The following applicants have applied for a permit to conduct
certain activities with endangered species. This notice is provided
pursuant to Section 10(c) of the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as
amended (16 U.S.C. 1531 et seq.):
PRT-795454
Applicant: Conservation Fisheries, Incorporated, Knoxville,
Tennessee
The applicant requests a permit to take (collection and hold for
captive breeding) the smoky madtom (Noturus baileyi), yellowfin madtom
(Noturus flavipinnis), duskytail darter (Etheostoma (=Catonotus) sp.),
boulder darter (Etheostoma wapiti), spotfin chub (Cyprinella
(=Hybopsis) monacha), and blackside dace (Phoxinus cumberlandensis) for
the purpose of enhancement of propagation and survival of the species.

Applicant: The Audubon Institute, Freeport McMoran Species Survival
Center, New Orleans, Louisiana
The applicant requests a permit to perform husbandry and
propagation efforts on the Mississippi Sandhill Crane (Grus canadensis
pulla). These activities are proposed for the purpose of enhancement of
propagation and survival of the species.

The applicant requests a permit to perform husbandry and
propagation efforts on the Mississippi Sandhill Crane (Grus canadensis
pulla). These activities are proposed for the purpose of enhancement of
propagation and survival of the species.

Applicant: Environmental and GIS Consulting, Incorporated,
Bentonville, Arkansas
The applicant requests a permit to take (conduct population
surveys, handle) the Ozark Bigeared bat (Plecotus townsendii ingens),
Indiana Gray bat (Myotis sodalis), Ozark cavefish (Amblyopsis rosae),
and a cave crayfish (Cambarus zophonastes) in Arkansas. These
activities are proposed for the purpose of enhancement of survival of
the species.

Applicant: Dr. Thane Wibbels, Birmingham, Alabama
The applicant requests a permit to take (collect dead hatchling and
disturb eggs and nests) of the Hawksbill sea turtle (Eretmochelys
imbricata) on Buck Island, United States Virgin Islands. These
activities are the purpose of enhancement of survival of the species.
Written data or comments on any of these applications should be

data and comments must be received within 30 days of the date of this
publication.
