AGENCY: Bureau of Land Management, California Desert District Office.

ACTION: Extension of public comment period.

SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given of an extension to the initial public 
comment period under the Notice of Intent (63 FR 49133, September 14, 
1998). This extension is in response to a request from the public.

DATES: Comments must be received by BLM at the following address by 
November 6, 1998.
