Sunshine Act Meeting

    Pursuant to the provisions of subsection (e)(2) of the ``Government 
in the Sunshine Act'' (5 U.S.C. 552b(e)(2)), notice is hereby given 
that at its open meeting held at 2:36 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 
1998, the Corporation's Board of Directors determined, on motion of 
Vice Chairman Andrew C. Hove, Jr., seconded by Director Joseph H. Neely 
(Appointive), concurred in by Director Ellen S. Seidman (Director, 
Office of Thrift Supervision), Director Julie L. Williams (Acting 
Comptroller of the Currency), and Chairman Donna Tanoue, that 
Corporation business required the withdrawal from the agenda for 
consideration at the meeting, on less than seven days' notice to the 
public, of the following matter:
    Memorandum and resolution re: Amendments to Part 362--Activities 
and Investments of Insured State Banks; Part 303--Applications, 
Requests, Submittals, Delegations of Authority, and Notices Required to 
be Filed by Statute or Regulation; and Section 337.4--Securities 
Activities of Subsidiaries of Insured State Banks; Bank Transactions 
with Affiliated Securities Companies.
    The Board further determined, by the same majority vote, that no 
notice earlier than September 25, 1998, of this change in the subject 
matter of the meeting was practicable.
