[A-583-815]
Notice of Extension of Time Limit for Antidumping Duty
Administrative Review of Welded ASTM A-312 Stainless Steel Pipe From
Taiwan
AGENCY: Import Administration, International Trade Administration,
Department of Commerce.
EFFECTIVE DATE: October 21, 1999.
SUMMARY: The Department of Commerce (the Department) is extending the
time limit for the preliminary results of the antidumping duty
administrative review of the antidumping order on Welded ASTM A-312
Stainless Steel Pipe from Taiwan, covering the period December 1, 1997
through November 30, 1998.
FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Juanita Chen or Karla Whalen, AD/CVD
Enforcement Office 9, Import Administration, International Trade
Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, 14th Street and
Constitution Avenue, NW, Room 7866, Washington, DC 20230, telephone
(202) 482-0409, or (202) 482-1391, respectively.
SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: On January 25, 1999, the Department
initiated this administrative review of the antidumping duty order on
welded ASTM A-312 Stainless Steel Pipe from Taiwan (64 FR 3682). Under
section 751(a)(3)(A) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (the Act),
the Department may extend the deadline for completion of the
preliminary results of an administrative review if it determines that
it is not practicable to complete the preliminary results within the
statutory time limit of 245 days after the last day of the anniversary
month for the relevant order. On July 21, 1999, the Department extended
this case sixty days (64 FR 41382, July 30, 1999). However, the
Department has determined that it is not practicable to complete the
preliminary results of the administrative review within that statutory
time limit. See Memorandum from Joseph A. Spetrini to Robert S.
LaRussa, dated September 30, 1999.
Therefore, in accordance with section 751(a)(3)(A) of the Act, the
Department is extending the time limit for the preliminary results
until December 15, 1999.
Dated: October 30, 1999.
Joseph A. Spetrini,
Deputy Assistant Secretary, Enforcement Group III.
