Exempt Wholesale Generator Status

October 17, 1996.
    Take notice that on October 7, 1996, pursuant to section 365.7 of 
the Commission's regulations, 18 CFR 365.7 (1996), AEP Resources 
International, Limited filed notification that it surrenders its status 
as an exempt wholesale generator under section 32(a)(1) of the Public 
Utility Holding Company Act of 1935, as amended.
