Notice of Realty Action: Non-Competitive Sale of Public Lands in
Clark County, Nevada
AGENCY: Bureau of Land Management, Interior.
ACTION: Non-competitive sale of public lands.

SUMMARY: Section 121 of Public Law 104-208, September 30, 1996, affords
the City of Mesquite the exclusive right to purchase the following
described public lands, at not less than fair market value, for a
period of 12 years after the date of enactment of the Act.

Sec. 1, lots 5 to 12 inclusive, S\1/2\N\1/2\, and S\1/2\;
Sec. 11, E\1/2\SE\1/4\;
Sec. 12;
Sec. 13, W\1/2\;
Sec. 14, E\1/2\NE\1/4\ and S\1/2\;
Sec. 23, lots 1, 2, N\1/2\, SW\1/4\, and NW\1/4\SE\1/4\;
Sec. 24, lots 2, 6, and W\1/2\NW\1/4\;
Sec. 26, lots 1 to 4, inclusive, and N\1/2\NW\1/4\.

The area described contains 5,642.30 acres in Clark County.
In accordance with the Act, the City of Mesquite shall notify the
Bureau of Land Management as to which of the above described lands the
city wishes to purchase no later than September 29, 2006. The Bureau of
Land Management will sell the land in accordance with the regulations
developed pursuant to the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of
1976 that govern the sale and disposal of public land. Prior to
offering the land for sale to the City of Mesquite, a notice will be
published in the Federal Register that will state the terms and
conditions for the sale and list the easements, reservations, and
exception that will be included in the patent.
Publication of this Notice in the Federal Register will segregate
the public lands described above from all forms of appropriation under
the public land laws, including the general mining laws, until
September 29, 2008.
