Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council; Public Meeting

AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of cancellation of a public meeting.

SUMMARY: The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council has cancelled 
the public meeting of the Standing and Special Reef Fish Scientific and 
Statistical Committee (SSC) that was scheduled for October 30, 1996. 
The meeting was announced in the Federal Register on October 7, 1996.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The initial notice was published on October 
7, 1996 (61 FR 52438). The purpose of this meeting was for the SSC to 
review both the SAP and SEP reports and determine if the reports were 
based on the best available scientific information.
    This meeting will be rescheduled at a future date.
