Mid Louisiana Gas Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in FERC Gas 
Tariff

October 22, 1996.
    Take notice that on October 16, 1996, Mid Louisiana Gas Company 
(Mid Louisiana) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, 
First Revised Volume No. 2, the following tariff sheets, to become 
effective November 16, 1996:

Original Sheet No. 0
Fifth Revised Sheet No. 1
First Revised Sheet No. 100
    Mid Louisiana states that the filing of the Revised Tariff Sheet is 
in response to Commission Order, dated August 23, 1996 in Docket No. 
CP95-730-000 wherein the Commission granted the abandonment of certain 
previously certificated services.
    Pursuant to Section 154.7(a)(7) of the Commission's Regulations, 
Mid Louisiana respectfully requests waiver of any requirement of the 
Regulations in order to permit the tendered tariff sheets to become 
effective November 16, 1996, as submitted.
    Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with 18 CFR 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed in 
accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. 
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants 
parties to the proceeding. Copies of this compliance filing are no file 
with the Commission and are available for public inspection in the 
Public Reference Room.
