[Declaration of Disaster Loan Area #2894]


North Carolina; Declaration of Disaster Loan Area (Amendment #3)

    In accordance with notices from the Federal Emergency Management 
Agency, effective October 18, 1996, the above-numbered Declaration is 
hereby amended to include Chowan and Davidson Counties in the State of 
North Carolina as a disaster area due to damage caused by Hurricane 
Fran beginning on September 5, 1996 and continuing.
    In addition, applications for economic injury loans from small 
businesses located in the contiguous counties of Davie, Rowan, and 
Perquimans may be filed until the specified date at the previously 
designated location. All other counties contiguous to the above-named 
counties have been previously declared.
    All other information remains the same, i.e., the termination date 
for filing applications for physical damage is November 4, 1996, and 
for loans for economic injury the deadline is June 6, 1997.
