Notice of Postponement of Time Limit for Countervailing Duty
Investigation: Elastic Rubber Tape From India
AGENCY: Import Administration, International Trade Administration,

Postponement
On September 8, 1998, the Department of Commerce (``the
Department'') initiated a countervailing duty investigation of elastic
rubber tape from India. On October 16, 1998, in accordance with section
351.205(e) of the Department's regulations (62 FR 27295, May 19, 1997),
the petitioners made a timely request that the Department postpone its
preliminary determination. As we find no compelling reasons to deny the
petitioners' request, we are postponing the preliminary determination
in this investigation to no later than November 30, 1998, pursuant to
section 703(c)(1) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended.
This notice is published pursuant to section 703(c)(2) of the Act.
