Meeting of the Small Town Environmental Planning Task Force
On October 19-20, 1994, the Small Town Environmental Planning Task
Force (STTF) will conduct its third meeting. The purpose of the meeting
is to discuss and act on their policy paper, and focus on how the group
is accomplishing their legislative mandates.
The Task Force is charged with identifying regulations developed
pursuant to Federal environmental laws which pose significant
compliance problems for small towns; identifying the means to improve
the working relationship between the Environmental Protection Agency
and small towns; reviewing proposed regulations for the protection of
environmental and public health and suggesting revisions that could
improve the ability of small towns to comply with such regulations; and
identifying the means to promoting regionalization of environmental
treatment systems and infrastructure serving small towns to improve the
economic conditions of such systems and infrastructure.
The meeting will be held at the Dupont Plaza Hotel, located at 1500
New Hampshire Avenue, NW., Washington, DC, 20036. The meeting will
begin at 9 a.m. on October 19th and conclude at 5 p.m. on October 20th.

This is an open meeting and all interested persons are invited to
attend. Meeting minutes will be available within thirty days after the
meeting and can be obtained by written request from the DFO. Members of
the public are requested to call the DFO at the above number if
planning to attend so that arrangements can be made to comfortably
accommodate attendees as much as possible.
